Field gas treating unit with storage and transportation system
Expected natural gas yearly yield: 128,10 ... 21,29 mmscm/year.
Operation scenario: continuous, 8760 working hours a year.
Scope of contracted works: Concept design, detailed design.
The Field gas treating unit will be supplied as a set of preassembled modules, skids, manifold assemblies and substructures. All of the process modules do not require any additional housing structures, are to be installed to an open area inside the production field and are operated at ambient temperatures ranging from minus 35 to plus 44 °С. The Field gas treating unit requires the area it is installed to be compliant with 2 class explosion proof categorization.
Natural gas treating upstream of pipeline transportation
Natural gas is widely used as an inexpensive fuel with high heating capacity (burning single cubic meter of gas yields up to 54 400 kJ or 51500 btu). It is considered one of the best consumer and household fuels. Pipelines are the most prolific method of transporting the natural gas so far.
However, upstream of the main pipelines the gas has to be treated and conditioned so that it meets certain criteria. The most serious ones are hydrocarbon and water dew points. There are several ways to reach the strict requirements on these. Namely:
Associated petroleum gas processing project experience
Customer: ТОО «South-Oil»
Region: Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyzylordinskaya region, Kenlyk production field
Feed gas capacity: 110 mmscmy

A hydrocarbon gas is a source for natural gas liquids (NGL for short), while the cost of NGL production depends primarily on source or feed gas quantity and quality. The rest of the process parameters – even the volume of the end product is secondary and play no big role.
"Turn key" in 18 months: complex gas treating plant in Kazakhstan
Customer: ТОО “Ken-Sary” (subsidiary of Korean National Oil Corporation)
Region: Republic of Kazakhstan, Mangistautskaya region, Mangistauskiy district, Arystanovskoye production field (railway station № 66310, Say-Utes)
Plant capacity, feed gas: 150 mmscmy.
GAS DEHYDRATION
Gas dehydration is a process of extracting moisture out of natural gas and gaseous mixtures. It often precedes either a pipeline transportation of gas or a low temperature based gas processing.
ASSOCIATED PETROLEUM GAS PROCESSING
One of the challenges of oil and gas industry may easily be noticed while flying over vast starches of Siberia: countless flares. Associated petroleum gas is being flared.
ADVANTAGES OF MODULAR APPROACH TO GAS PROCESSING
Comparative review of associated petroleum gas dehydration processes. RN-Yuganskneftegas unit is being used as an example.
Active incorporation of modular approach to gas processing and treatment into design, production and installation has been used worldwide since 1980’s
GAS PROCESSING SIMPLYFIED
There is a demand for effective ways to treat both associated petroleum gas, common at oil production sites as well as gas condensate produced alongside natural gas at gas condensate fields. This demand is boosted by several reasons: growth in oil and gas production, tightening of the ecological norms and emission standards, gradual decline in dry Cenoman gas deposits and a consequent shift to development of new gas condensate fields.
GAS PROCESSING: GOOD MONEY ON WASTE
Let’s analyze potential gas-processing options for a small oil company. It is extracting up to 120 mln scm of associated petroleum gas per year. Currently the gas is flared.
A gas pipeline of intermediate pressure (3.5 Mpa) passes 10 km away from the oil treatment unit, where oil and gas are separated. Technical specs for adding the gas to the pipeline are as follows: -10°С dew point for water, -5°С dew point for hydrocarbons. Company’s oilfield can be reached by wheeled transport by road.
